READ documents all research conducted at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture that has been registered since 2001.

The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture is one of the world's oldest schools of architecture. It was founded in 1754 as 'The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts' and aimed to unite the education of artists and craftsmen in the three disciplines painting, sculpture and building.

In the 1970s, the school became an independent institution with its own management and was given the status of institution for higher education. Thus, the School of Architecture could issue diplomas in architecture (cand.arch.) corresponding to the university master's degree, and still retain its artistic and professional relations and status within the Academy of Fine Arts. The school is organised in nine study departments, four research institutes and six affiliated research centres.
