Heads of the Cross Faculty Department: Poul Rind Christensen and Lone Dalsgaard

The Cross Faculty Department manages the teaching which is common to all of the educations at Kolding School of Design.

The Faculty for Education and Research is home to cross-disciplinary research subjects at Kolding School of Design. Therefore, the following basic subjects are given high priority in research:

• The role of design in innovative processes
• Design processes, concepts, methods, and tools
• Design management - including design's significance to sustainable growth, the influence of cultural diversity, and design in global production and consumption systems.

Concerning these subjects, Kolding School of Design creates research teams consisting of Department and Faculty representatives in order to ensure that the research within different fields is enriched by and supports the development of knowledge within these cross-disciplinary subjects. Centre for Design, Culture and Management, run in cooperation with University of Southern Denmark, Campus Kolding, is expected to play a central role in this work.
