The Aarhus School of Architecture was established in 1965 and has since then educated almost 4,000 graduates. Today, the school has about 800 students of which about 200 are from abroad. Add to this about 150 employees: instructors, researchers and administrative staff. The Aarhus School of Architecture provides a three-year Bachelor programme and a two-year Master programme.
In order to ensure academic comprehensiveness and diversity, the teachers and researchers at the Aarhus School of Architecture are organized in a number of discipline-specific platforms that cover all scales and various academic approaches of the architectural profession.
In the academic year 2011/12, a total of thirteen platforms have been established. These platforms form the basis of the research at the school and offer teaching within both bachelor and master programmes.
The platforms collaborate crosswise just as they collaborate with external parties such as private firms and other educational and research institutions.
Furthermore, the Aarhus School of Architecture also offers Master programmes for architects and related occupational groups with a number of years of work experience.
